About epologetics

epologetics.org is a project whose purpose is to identify, defend, and proclaim the truth.

Doctrinal statement

  • God
    • one God exists as three persons (the Trinity); the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
    • is eternal and unchanging
    • is the standard of righteousness and thus our source for morality
    • Jesus
      • the Son of God, Messiah, one with God the Father
      • fully man and fully God
      • raised bodily on the third day
  • The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. Modern copies and translations may contain errors, but these errors do not exist in the autographs (original manuscripts).
  • Creation was completed in six literal days according to the scriptures
  • The Gospel is Christ, Him crucified, and resurrected according to the Scriptures.
  • Man is sinful by nature and unable to please God
  • Man has free will to respond to God's call to salvation
  • The atonement of Christ was sufficient for all sins
  • Salvation is the free gift of God, received through faith by all who respond
  • The believer is eternally secure by the will of God
  • All will be resurrected either to eternal torment or eternal life
  • Christ will return to establish His earthly kingdom

Why apologetics?

But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess.1 Peter 3:15

We tear down arguments and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obey Christ.2 Corinthians 10:5

These Jews were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they eagerly received the message, examining the scriptures carefully every day to see if these things were so.Acts 17:11
